Obituary


Virginia Elizabeth Kelly Gill, 94, of Huntington, West Virginia, died Friday, June 15, 2018, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. She was born on August 16, 1923 at Washington, Daviess County, Indiana, to Edward S. Kelly and Inez Virginia Krodle Kelly. Virginia was married to Billie Harold Gill for 70 ½ years. She never retired from her job as mother and homemaker. She was a member of Cross Roads United Methodist Church. Her husband, Billie Harold Gill; her parents, Edward S. and Inez Kelly; her sister, Mary Kathleen Colton; her brothers, Raymond E. and Robert Kelly; her son, James Harold Gill; and her daughter, Dianne Ilene Hantak, preceded her in death. Virginia is survived by her daughter, Judith G. Heinz (Charles); son-in-law, Thomas Hantak; granddaughter, Stephanie McCallister (Jerry); grandsons, Brian Lee Heinz (Charlene), Mark Edward Heinz, Todd and Chad Gill; a special niece, Rebecca Kelly; sister-in-law, Marie Kelly; and sister-in-law, Beulah Gill. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Tuesday, June 19, 2018, at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, with Pastor Bill DeMoss officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery, Huntington. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Monday, June 18, 2019, at the funeral home.
