Rev. Charles "Ed" Hood 89, of Huntington, widower of Dorothy Lee Hood, passed away Saturday, June 2, 2018 in Cabell Huntington Hospital. He was born April 3, 1929 in Piedmont, WV, a son of the late Charles Percy and Mary Ellen Harrison Hood. He was a US Army veteran serving during the Korean War, a retired supervisor with CandP Telephone, Co, and was a retired United Methodist minister. Survivors include one son, Charles W. Hood of Huntington; 6 grandchildren, James Edward Hood, Richard William Hood, Aaron Lee Hood, Charlie Lynn Hood, Susan Jade Hood, and Maranda Neshell Hood; two great-grandchildren, Makayla Lynn Hood, and Garette Lee Hood. Funeral services will be conducted 7:30 pm Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at Chapman's Mortuary with Rev. Dale Waters officiating. Burial will be in Maryland. Friends may call from 6:00 pm to service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
