John Jackson Bryant, 63, of Lexington, KY, husband of Martha Colburn Bryant, passed away Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at his residence. He was born February 17, 1955, in Louisville, KY a son of the late Horase Jackson and Helma Johnson Bryant. He worked as a boilermaker for the LandN Railroad / CSX, and the last years was a leasing agent for Apex Rentco Trailer Service. Survivors in addition to his wife include one daughter, Melanie Bryant of Louisville, KY; one granddaughter, Jackee Bryant; one great-great grandson, Ryker Bryant; a special niece, Caressa Colburn; and a host of family and friends. Graveside services will be conducted 1:00 pm Monday, November 5, 2018 at the Woodmere Memorial Park Abbey of Peace Mausoleum, with Pastor Jerry Matt officiating. Burial will follow. Friends may visit with the family 30 minutes prior to service time Monday at the cemetery. Chapman's Mortuary is assisting the family.
