John William Fizer, 61, of Huntington, WV, passed away Friday, October 12, 2018, in Cabell Huntington Hospital. He was born July 25, 1957 in Huntington, WV a son of the late Carl Gleeten and Mary Lou Lewis Fizer. John was a former service manager for Nissan in Roanoke Rapids, NC. He enjoyed going to the beach; listening to all types of music; and playing guitar. Survivors include: his wife, Kim Fizer; a daughter and son-in-law, Rachel (Sidney) Murphy of Kenly, NC; a son and daughter-in-law, Carl (Holly) Fizer of Smithfield, NC; a step son, Shane Goodall of Montpelier, VA; six grandchildren, Kayla, Hunter, and Cody Murphy, Carson and Mason Fizer, and Zac Gillette; three brothers, Larry Fizer of Flatwoods, KY, Ted Fizer of Huntington, and Sam Fizer of Clearwater, FL; and several nieces, nephews, and friends that have been supportive of the entire family. A Celebration of Life service will be conducted 6:00 pm Monday, October 15, 2018, at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, with his brothers, Larry Fizer and Ted Fizer, officiating.
