Obituary



Charles Edward Ruley, 74, of Huntington, widower of Helen Louise Ruley, died Monday, February 29, 2016 in St. Mary's Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Thursday, March 3, 2016 at Chapman's Mortuary with Pastor Marc Davis officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Memorial Park, Huntington. Charles was born September 18, 1941, in Barboursville, WV, a son of the late Francis Clayton and Mary Lauretta McCallister Ruley. He retired from ACF Industries, enjoyed NASCAR Racing, and loved to hang out at Rider's Gas Station with his good friend, Wilfred Rider, and the Liar's Club. Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Pamela Sue Ruley Sansom and Chris of Huntington; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Charles C. and LeAnna of Ashton, WV, Jerry L. and Lisa of Milton, Mike of Huntington, and Timothy M. and Amy of Huntington; eight grandchildren, Jayce M. of Clearwater, FL, Matt of Lesage, Kirsten of Huntington, Jamie and Jeremy of Ashton, Tanner and Timothy of Huntington, and Gage S. of Milton; four great grandchildren, JahMarcus , Kiearrah Mico and Milliyon all of Clearwater FL; two sisters, Bonnie Faye Martin of San Angelo, TX, and Mary Frances Radcliff and husband, Charles Radcliff, of Pigeon Forge, TN; a brother, Vernon Ray Ruley of Salt Rock, WV; and his special companion, Pat Walker. Friends may visit with family 6:00-8:00 pm Wednesday at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington.
