Mary J. Cregut, 54, of Huntington, WV, died Monday December 20, 2010 in St. Mary's Medical Center. Graveside funeral service will be conducted 2:30 PM Sunday December 26, 2010 at Woodmere Memorial Park's Abbey of Remembrance with Minister Alan Cole officiating. Mary was born December 23, 1955 in Huntington, WV a daughter of the late Charles A. & Eva Harless Sowards. She was Church of Christ by faith. Her brother Don Sowards preceded her in death. Survivors include her husband Don Cregut, a sister, June Mitchell & husband Mike of Sierra Vista, AZ., a brother Allen Sowards & wife Kathy of Culloden, WV, 3 nieces, Lydia Robertson, Heather Jester, & Stacy Sowards, a nephew, Jody Sowards and her loving mother-in-law Josephine "Jo" Cregut of Huntington. Mary was a passionate animal lover. She was a good mother to her numerous cats, that she called her babies. Friends may call at Chapman's Mortuary Huntington from 12:30 PM until 2:15 PM on Sunday when the funeral procession will leave for the cemetery.
