Rodney A. "Rod" Pardue
(December 29, 1949 - December 6, 2010)


Rodney A. "Rod" Pardue, 60, of Milton, WV, passed away Monday, December 6, 2010, in St. Mary's Medical Center. Rod was born December 29, 1949 in Huntington, WV a son of Mary Ellen "Peachie" Sanns Pardue of Huntington and the late Berthold Maurice Pardue. He was a 1967 graduate of Barboursville High School and a graduate of Marshall University with a Master's Degree. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, having served during the Vietnam Era. Rod was a school psychologist for the Cabell County Board of Education having worked at many different schools for 28 years. In addition to his mother, survivors include: his wife, Glory Bias Pardue; a son, Eric Pardue and daughter-in-law, Cindy of Milton; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Connie and Jim Roberts of Westmoreland and Amy Pardue of Huntington; two brothers and a sister-in-law, David Pardue of Huntington and Brent and Claudette Pardue of Greenbottom, WV; and a large extended family. Rodney will be greatly missed by those who knew him. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Habitat for Humanity at 240 3rd Ave. Huntington, WV 25701, or Milton Volunteer Fire Department at 341 East Main Street, Milton, WV 25541. A memorial service will be conducted 6:00 PM Friday, December 10, 2010, at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, with Pastor Bob Hogsett officiating.
