Charlotte Ann Dyer
(August 8, 1941 - December 15, 2010)


Charlotte Ann Dyer, 69, of Melbourne, FL, wife of Dallas E. Dyer, passed away Wednesday, December 15, 2010 in Shands Hospital at University of Florida, Gainesville, FL. Charlotte was born August 8, 1941 in Huntington, a daughter of the late Roy Adkins and Ethel Davis Adkins Bush. She is also preceded in death by two daughters, Patricia Dyer and Christina Dyer; a sister, Elizabeth Armstrong; and a brother, Tom Adkins. Charlotte was a graduate of the class of 1959 of Huntington East High School, and was a very big fan of Elvis. She was retired with collections at Easy Money/National Motors of Virginia, Virginia Beach, VA. In addition to her husband, survivors include her two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael Dyer and Christine Wood of West Melbourne, FL, and Scott and Roberta "Ruth" Dyer of Huntington; three sisters, Thelma Jarrell of Huntington, Peggy Cremeans of Holiday, FL, and Katherine Flannery of Phoenix, AZ; a brother and sister-in-law, Fred and Sally Adkins of Fairfax, VA; sisters-in-law, Sue Adkins of Shreveport, LA, Joyce Kinder of Huntington, and Martha Merrill of Pearl River, LA; three grandchildren, Ryann Dyer Marume and Rhiana Dyer, both of Huntington, and Sabrina Wood of West Melbourne, FL; a special niece, Patty Jarrell of Huntington, and a host of other nieces and nephews; and special friends, Gussie Forts of Virginia Beach and Teaven Dennison of Chesapeake, OH. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Wednesday December 22, 2010, at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, with Pastor Fred Ramey officiating. Burial will be in Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington. Friends may call 6:00-8:00 PM Tuesday at Chapman's Mortuary.
