Barbara E. Davis
(March 12, 1937 - December 16, 2010)



Barbara E. Davis, 73, of Huntington, widow of Norman R. Davis, passed away Thursday, December 16, 2010, in the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Monday, December 20, 2010, at Chapman's Mortuary, with Pastor Jamie Jefferson officiating. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. She was born March 12, 1937, in Logan County, WV, a daughter of the late Tussie and Judy Holbrook Nickels. In addition to her husband, one granddaughter, Tiffani Farley, two sisters and four brothers also preceded her in death. She retired from the Huntington State Hospital as a dietary supervisor. She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Jeanne (Frank) Burdette of Chesapeake, Ohio, Lora (David) Farley of Barboursville, and Lisa (Mike) Lovejoy of Huntington; one son and daughter-in-law, John R. (Jody) Davis of Raleigh, NC; 6 sisters, Faye Frye of Harts, WV, Merle Weaver of New Castle, IN, Virginia Nickels of Fayetteville, NC, Bonnie Reeves of Forest City, NC, Ella Smith of Bristol, VA, and Freda Morrison of St. Petersburg, FL; four grandchildren, Kimberly Walters of Huntington, Terrin Farley of Barboursville, Lydia Burdette of Chesapeake, OH, and Michael Lovejoy of Huntington. Friends may call from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home. The family wishes that a special Thank You be extended to the staff of Huntington Health and Rehab, as well as Hospice of Huntington.
