(November 10, 2010)

After a brave four-year battle with Alzheimer's, MAXINE RUTH WITHROW EARL, 90, of Morehead, Kentucky, formerly of Huntington, WV, went to be with the Lord, November 10, 2010, while at the Community Hospice Care center in Ashland, Kentucky. She was born October 25, 1920, in Wayne County, West Virginia, to Clarence and Edith Withrow. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Z. Taylor Earl; her two infant sons; her brother, Gene Withrow; and her sister, Oretha N. White. She is survived by her daughter, Dr. E. Noel Earl of Morehead, Kentucky and several nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her two beloved dogs, Sunny and Priss. Her generous and unselfish life was inspirational to many. Her final act of generosity was to donate her body to the Human Gift Registry of Marshall University. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. A celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 4, 2010, at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington. The family will begin receiving friends at 10:00 AM.
