Houston Carroll Hodge
(July 29, 1933 - November 25, 2010)



Houston Carroll Hodge, 77, of Huntington, WV, died Thursday, November 25, 2010, at St. Mary's Medical Center. Funeral service will be conducted 12:30 PM Monday, November 29, 2010, at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, with Pastor David Cartwright officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Houston was born July 29, 1933 in Corliss, WV a son of the late Henry and Hallie Herndon Hodge. He was retired as President of Electronic Supply, Inc. where he worked for over 50 years. He graduated from Huntington East High School in 1951, attended Marshall University and graduated from Coyne Technical Institute, Chicago, IL. His hobbies were photography and travel. He was a member of the Huntington Elks B.P.O.E. #313 and attended Cross Roads United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by a brother, Chester Hodge and a sister, Marguerite Myers. Survivors include: his wife of 51 years, Virginia Fulcher Hodge; a daughter, Sheri (Albert) Anderson of Hurricane, WV; a son, Gregory (Holly) Hodge of Lexington, KY, grandchildren, Matthew and Katie Anderson and Parker and Landon Hodge; and nephews, Richard and Edward Hodge. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cross Roads United Methodist Church or Hospice of Huntington. Friends may call at Chapman's Mortuary from 3:00 until 5:00 PM Sunday November 28, 2010.
