Robert L. Refsnider

Robert L. Refsnider, 86, of Huntington, WV, passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2010, in Huntington Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born August 19, 1924 in Ambler, PA a son of the late Clifford and Mary Fox Refsnider. He was a farmer and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II where he received a Purple Heart and participated in the Army of Occupation 1945 and European African Middle Eastern Campaign 1941-1945. He was a member of American Legion Post 177 Barboursville and VFW Post 9097 of Hurricane. His family consisted of three sons, Gary, Brian, and Keith Refsnider; and a sister, Grace Brown. Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 16, 2010, at Spring Hill Cemetery, Huntington, with Ernest M. Ritchie officiating. Military graveside rites will be conducted by VFW Post 9738. Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, is in charge of arrangements.
