Violet Gue Elder

Violet Gue Elder, 70, of Huntington, WV, passed away Monday, November 29, 2010, at her residence. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Thursday, December 2, 2010, at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, with Pastor Ronnie Tyree officiating. Burial will be in Susie Chapel Cemetery, Huntington. She was born December 16, 1939 in Cabell County, WV a daughter of the late Alva Albert and Elizabeth Ball Gue. Her husband, Lawrence Jennings Elder; a son, Timmy Eugene Elder; a sister, Hattie Marie Brumfield; and a brother, Otis (Junior) Gue, also preceded her in death. She was a selector for Anchor-Hocking Corporation in California. Survivors include: her companion of 34 years, Marvin Dinsmore; a daughter, Terry Elder of Huntington; two sons, Danny L. Elder and Michael L. Elder, both of Huntington; twelve grandchildren, Michelle Montoya, Mitchell Henderson, Melissa Parsons, Jacup Walker, Amber Walker, Kobe Walker, Danny L. Elder, Jr., Christopher L. Elder, Katy Elder, Kacy Elder, Jake Elder, and Tristen Ashworth; seven great grandchildren, Mariah Thompson, Braydon Henderson, Kaydance Henderson, Laykin Parsons, Deontrey Montoya, Tanner Parsons, and Laila Montoya; a sister, Gloria Jean Dillon of Huntington; and two brothers, Raymond Adkins and Denver (Tommy) Gue, both of Huntington.
