Garland Brumfield

Garland Brumfield 83, of Melbourne, FL, formerly of Huntington, WV, died Sunday, October 30, 2011, in Holmes Regional Medical Center, Melbourne. Garland was born September 12, 1928 in Lesage, WV, a son of the late Herbert & Evelyn McCallister Brumfield. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. He retired as Plant Supervisor from Spray Services, Inc., Huntington. He was a member of Elks Lodge 313 of Huntington. He was preceded in death by his wife Myra Ferguson Brumfield and her son Richard Ferguson, one brother & two sisters. He is survived by his first wife, Corrine Pauley Brumfield and their children, Lloyd Lee Brumfield (Donna) of Hebron, KY, and Teresa Brumfield Hoffkins (Joseph) of Palm Bay, FL, as well as the children of his second wife Myra: Terry Anne Roberts (Ed) and Andrew Ferguson (Kathy) of Huntington, Scott Ferguson (Kathy) of Greensboro, NC, and Cindy Ferguson of Ponce Inlet, FL, plus 11 grandchildren and 4 great grand children. Funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Friday November 4, 2011, at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, White Chapel Mausoleum, Barboursville, with Pastor Glen Robinson officiating. Friends may call at the cemetery after 1:30 PM on Friday. Chapman’s Mortuary Huntington is assisting the family.
