Edith A. Weed
(August 19, 1933 - October 13, 2011)



Edith A. Weed, 78, of Marietta, Ohio, formerly of Huntington, WV, widow of Gerald Lee Weed, passed away Thursday, October 13, 2011, in Marietta Memorial Hospital. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 am Monday, October 17, 2011, at Woodmere Memorial Park, with Pastor Gordon Rutherford officiating. Burial will follow. She was born August 19, 1933, in Wayne County, WV, a daughter of the late Sanford and Alice McCloud Miller. One sister, Faye Bentley and one brother James Miller also preceded her in death. She was a bookkeeper in Hartford, Conn. for many years. Survivors include: one daughter, Flora McLaughlin of Springfield, MA; a step daughter and her husband, Deborah and Marc Timbrook of Leesburg, VA; two step sons and their wives, Ronnie and Teresa Weed and John and Connie Weed all of Huntington; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Helen Gillispie and Doris Marcum both of Scottown, OH, and Liddie and Richard Moniz of Springfield, MA; a brother and his wife Freelin and Marg Robertson of MI; 10 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and other family. Friends may call from 10:30am to service time Monday at the cemetery.
