Paul Gene Meadows
(September 19, 1939 - October 6, 2011)



Paul Gene Meadows, 72, of Huntington, husband of Sue Conrad Meadows, passed away Thursday October 6, 2011 at St. Mary’s Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted 2:30 PM Saturday October 8, 2011, at Chapman's Mortuary with Rev. Dan Spreacker officiating. He was born September 19, 1939 in Cabell County, WV, a son of the late Nelson O. and Naomi Spurlock Meadows. Paul worked formerly for the Huntington Dress Factory and for the past 37 years as an employee for Spurlock’s Flowers. He was a U.S. Army Reserve Veteran, and a member of Crossroads Baptist Church. In addition to his wife, survivors include a daughter and soul mate, Misty Adkins and Tommy Musser of Lesage; a son and daughter-in-law, Corbly “Gene” and Jenny Meadows of Proctorville, OH; five grandchildren, LeAnn Welker, Jessica Welker, Jacob Paul Adkins, Joshua Paul Meadows and wife, Kallie Meadows, and Zachary Gene Meadows; five great grandchildren, Xander “Big X” Campbell, Kayle Watts, Ty Watts, Conrad Jackson Meadows, and Payton Meadows; two sisters, Janice Johnson and Stella “Babe” Evans, both of Barboursville; a brother and sister-in-law, Ronald and Freda Meadows of Zanesville, OH; special friends Bonnie and Fred Huff of Proctorville; and friends and co-workers at Spurlock’s Flowers. The family would like to thank Kathy Pumphrey for her special love and support, and staff at the St. Mary’s NTIC unit. Friends may call 6:00-8:00 PM Friday at Chapman’s Mortuary, Huntington.
