Marion Reed, Sr.
(1915 - October 1, 2011)

Marion Reed, Sr. of Greenbottom, WV, made his transition from our physical reality to the spiritual worlds, in the morning of October 1, 2011. He was Christian by faith. Born in 1915 in Glenwood, WV, he was the last of a total generation of 14 children born to John Henry Reed and Olive Rosetta McCurdy-Reed. In September of 1940 he married his Sweetheart, Faye Florence Rife (b. 1921) from Lesage, WV, who made her transition in 1984. He is survived by his son, Marion Reed, Jr. of Huntington, WV; two grandsons - brothers Brent Madison Reed of Huntington, and Wayne Bradley Reed of Weatherford, Texas; his great-grand daughter, Emily Caitlin Reed - Wayne's daughter, numerous other relatives, and a very dear friend, May McComas, who will miss him. Marion was retired from the WV Laborer's Int'l Union, Local 543. A private graveside gathering will be held from 1:30-2:00 on Monday by members of the immediate family. In lieu of flowers the family request donations to the charity of ones choice.
