Walter Marion "Bud" Flamont
(January 12, 1931 - October 20, 2011)


Walter Marion “Bud” Flamont, 80, of Huntington, WV, husband of Ernestine L. Alderman Flamont, passed away Thursday October 20, 2011, at his residence. He was born January 12, 1931, in Huntington, a son of the late Roy and Edith Estep Flamont. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Julie Welling; three sisters, Betty Ann McGue, Peggy Nichols, and Nancy Kulpa; and a brother, William Flamont. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines, and a retired self-employed carpet installer. In addition to his wife survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Barbara and Lewis Welling of Taylor, MI, and Bonnie Flamont of Huntington; two sons and daughters-in-law, Walter “Mike” Flamont, II, and Karen Flamont of Interlocken, MI, and Ernest and Jennifer Flamont of Howell, MI; a brother, Van Harvey Flamont of Ecorse, MI; 11 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 PM Monday at Chapman’s Mortuary with Rev. Scott Byard officiating. Burial will be in Woodmere Memorial Park. Friends may visit after 11:00 AM Monday at Chapman’s Mortuary.
