William Ray Crank
(February 20, 1945 - October 18, 2011)


William Ray Crank, 66, of South Point, OH, passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2011, at his residence. He was born February 20, 1945 in Cabell County, WV a son of the late Raymond Ora Crank and Lucille Jarrell McCoy. He was a printer for Chapman Printing Company and the Herald Dispatch. He attended Sunrise Nazarene Church and was a member of the Fayette #2 Volunteer Fire Department. Survivors include: his wife, Phyllis Crank; two daughters, Dr. Anna Patton and her husband, Jeffrey of Catlettsburg, KY and Clara Crank and her companion, Teresa McDermott, of Raleigh, NC; two sons, William Roger Crank and his wife, Melissa of Huntington and Homer Crank and his wife Linda of South Point, OH; four grandchildren, William, Olivia, Ryan, and Connor; a sister, Andrea McNeill and her husband, James of Decatur, AL; and a brother, Homer Crank and his wife Brenda of Ona, WV. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Friday, October 21, 2011, at Chapman’s Mortuary, Huntington. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, WV with Military Graveside Rites conducted by Veterans Honor Guard Post 16. Visitation will be from noon to 2:00 PM Friday at Chapman’s Mortuary.
