John L. Chapman
(October 17, 1920 - October 7, 2011)



Mr. John Lloyd Chapman, 90, of Huntington, husband of Lucille Parsley Chapman, died Friday, October 7, 2011, at River’s Bend Health Care, South Point, OH. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at River Cities Community Church. with Pastor Larry A. Greene officiating. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, with full Military Graveside Honors by the Veterans Honor Guard. He was born October 17, 1920, in Cabell County, a son of the late Burl and Hattie Lambert Chapman. He was a veteran, serving with the US Army, during WW II. He was a retired Glazer, with Central Glass. Also preceding him in death are 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Additional survivors are a daughter, Sue Witt, of Huntington; 3 grandchildren, Sally Bowen, of Virginia, John Clagg of Ona, and Beth Clagg of Huntington; 5 great-grandchildren; a sister, Letha Lyons, of Tucson, AZ; and 2 brothers, Charles Chapman and Floyd Chapman, both of Massilon, OH. Friends may call at Chapman’s Mortuary from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Monday, October 10, 2011, and after 12:00 pm, Tuesday at the church.
