Charles Edward Fortner, 62, of Huntington, WV, passed away Thursday, November 26, 2015, at Cabell Huntington Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at noon Tuesday, December 1, 2015, at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, with Dale Barnett officiating. Burial will be in Forest Memorial Park, Milton, WV. He was born August 3, 1953 in Lawrence County, OH a son of the late Mildred Fortner Scaggs. A daughter, Sherry Bailey and two grandchildren, Zayne Tucker and Erica Bailey, also preceded him in death. He was a retired self-employed contractor. Survivors include: his wife of 43 years, Barbara Fortner; a daughter and son-in-law, Kelly and Rich Tucker of Ona, WV; a son-in-law, John Bailey of Huntington; five grandchildren, Kayleen (J.D.) Gardner, Jaren Bailey, Karlei Bailey, Zavier Tucker, and Zayden Tucker; a soon to be born grandson, Zander Tucker; and two great grandchildren, Urijah Gardner and Samiyah Gardner. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Monday, November 30, 2015, at Chapman's Mortuary.
