Obituary



Cheryl Lynn Tyree, 61, of Huntington, wife of Thomas L. Tyree, DDS., passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2015, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, after a battle with cancer. She was born February 19, 1954, in Mullens, WV, a daughter of the late Johnny A. and Ernestine Agnes Webb Aliff. She was the office manager at her husband Tom's dental practice in Kenova. Cheryl was a member of the Kenova Business Association, volunteered for the Special Olympics for the past 30 years, and was a former coach for girls softball. In addition to her loving husband, Tom, survivors include, two daughters and sons-in-law, Traci and Leon Agnew of Suwanee, GA, and Tanya and Kyle Sargent of Louisville, KY; her beloved grandchildren, Donivan, Kyleigh, Jayln, Mya, Ashley, and Jackson; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Karen and Rick Boone of Lexington, KY, Joetta and Dave Walker of Oceana, WV, and Robin Trainor of Monroe, NC; brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Rhonda Aliff of Bluefield, WV, and Richie and Kara Aliff of Florence, KY; and several nieces and nephews. Her love for her family was unconditional and her greatest joy was spending time with them. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington, WV or the American Cancer Society. A memorial service for Cheryl will be conducted at 1:00 pm, Saturday, November 14, 2015 at the Kenova United Methodist Church, 503 15th Street, with Rev. Joan Stewart and Rev. Jim Richards officiating. Friends may visit with family beginning at 12:00 pm Saturday at the church.
