Obituary



Lillian K. Mitchell, 96, of Huntington, WV, devoted mother, daughter, grandmother, aunt and friend, died Friday November 20, 2015 at her residence. Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 PM Saturday November 28, 2015 at Chapman's Mortuary Huntington with Pastor William DeMoss officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Lillian was born May 10, 1919 in Lawrence County, OH a daughter of the late William J. Kingrey and Carrie Ellcessor Kingrey. She spent most of her working life in retail and retired at age 88 from Mack and Dave's. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth Ellcessor Kingrey, her sister, Kathleen Jane Holderby and her son, James Robert Mitchell. Survivors include her daughter, Karen E. Mitchell of Huntington, her granddaughter, Carrie N. Mitchell, her daughter-in-law, Sandy Leonard, well-loved nieces, nephews and supportive friends. Visitation will be from noon until 2:00 PM Saturday at Chapman's Mortuary.
