Obituary

James David Clay
(November 4, 1929 - December 29, 2014)


James David Clay, 85, of Huntington, WV, passed away Monday, December 29, 2014 in Heritage Center. He was born November 4, 1929 in Milton, WV a son of the late Stonewall Jackson and Vanise Ashworth Clay. A brother, Arthur Ashworth, also preceded him in death. He was a former landscaper for Myers Nursery and a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. Survivors include: a daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Christopher Grams of Huntington; a son, James Dennon Clay of Huntington; two sisters, Ellen Hughes of Milton and Fern Smith of Ohio; a brother, Lewis Clay, of Milton; and his former wife, Marsha Clay. At his request, there will be no services. Chapman’s Mortuary, Huntington, is assisting the family.
