Jessie Austin Henson, Sr.
(October 1, 1928 - December 10, 2014)

Jessie Austin Henson, Sr., 86 of Lesage, WV, died Wednesday December 10, 2014 in the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Funeral service will be conducted 10:00 AM Monday December 15, 2014 at Chapman’s Mortuary Huntington with Pastor Jamie Jefferson officiating. Burial will be in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Crosslanes, WV. Jessie was born October 1, 1928 in Cedar Grove, WV a son of the late Jessie Lewis & Ida Bowler Henson. He was a retired U.S. Mail Contractor for the U.S. Post Office, and a member of Fraziers Bottom Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by one son Jessie Austin Henson, Jr., 1 brother & 3 sisters. Survivors include his wife Bertha Faye Henson, three grandsons, Nicholas Henson of Hurricane, WV, Christopher Henson of South Point, OH, & Shawn & Amanda Henson of Huntington, one great-granddaughter, Brianna Henson & one Great-grandson Nikalos Henson both of Hurricane, a daughter-in-law, Carol Henson of Huntington. The family would like to thank Martha & Roscoe Lanham of Lesage for all their help. Donations may be made to Hospice of Huntington.
