Barbara Ann Runnels Curry
(October 16, 1936 - December 11, 2014)


Barbara Ann Runnels Curry, 78, widow of Robert W. Curry, went to be with her Lord & family, Thursday December 11, 2014 in St. Mary’s Medical Center. Barbara was born to the late Roy & Ola Mae Scarberry Runnels, October 16, 1936 in Huntington, WV. She was a member of 26th Street Baptist Church, & a volunteer for St. Mary’s Medical Center for several years. She loved doing for others. She was an employee for Marshall University for 18 ½ years, in food service. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Shirley McKinney and a brother, Robert E. Runnels. She is survived by a daughter, Karen Sue Slater (Dean), four grandchildren & eight great grandchildren all of Sandusky, OH, two brothers, Ronald E. Runnels & (Denise) of Huntington, & David L. Runnels of South Point, OH, one sister, Pat Vickers of Huntington, & a host of nieces & nephews. She will be missed by all. Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 PM Monday December 15, 2014 at Chapman’s Mortuary Huntington with Pastor Tim Arthur officiating. Burial will be in Woodmere Memorial Park. Friends may call at Chapman’s Mortuary after noon on Monday. Pallbearers will be grandsons & nephews, Brent, Brett, Randy & Brandon Slater, A.L.
