Mary Ellen "Peachie" Sanns Pardue
(August 1, 1926 - December 9, 2014)



Mary Ellen “Peachie” Sanns Pardue, 88 of Huntington, widow of B. M. “Morris” Pardue, passed away Tuesday December 9, 2014 in Heritage Center as a result of injuries suffered in a fall at home in October. Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 am Saturday, December 13, 2014 at Chapman’s Mortuary Huntington, with Rev. Carl Mouser and Pastor Bob Hogsett officiating. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. She was born August 1, 1926 in Lesage WV, a daughter of late John and Elizabeth Cox Sanns. In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by 2 sons, Rodney Pardue and Brent Pardue;, a grandson, Scott Hatfield, a daughter-in-law Arbutus Pardue, 6 brothers and 2 sisters. She was a homemaker and attended Cox’s Landing United Methodist Church. Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Connie and Jim Roberts, and Amy Pardue all of Huntington; one son David Ray Pardue also of Huntington; a sister, Joanne Wellman of Barboursville; 2 daughters-in-law Glory Pardue and Claudette Pardue; 9 grandchildren, Eric Pardue, Melissa Cavender, Charles Roberts, Nathan Roberts, Tasha Pardue, Cheryl Chaffins, Lenny Chaffins, Natasha Hatfield and Gregory Hatfield; 12 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; very special friends, Gary and Sheila Plumley and caregivers, Tana, Sara and Todd. Friends may call from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
