Ruth Virginia Ray
(January 20, 1930 - December 12, 2014)


Ruth Virginia Ray, 84, of Huntington, WV, died Friday December 12, 2014 in St. Mary’s Medical Center. Funeral service will be conducted 6:00 PM Monday December 15, 2014 at Chapman’s Mortuary Huntington with her son & grandson, Ministers, Michael Ray & Frederick E. Ray, Jr. officiating. Burial & committal service will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville on Tuesday at 1:30 PM. Ruth was born January 20, 1930 in Ona, WV, a daughter of the late Brian & Iva Weatherholt Venoy. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Frederick E. Ray, Sr. and one son Jack Ray. Survivors include three daughters, Kay & Steve Mattison & Betty & David Swann all of Huntington and Debra & Willie Day of Chesapeake, OH, one son, Frederick E. Ray, Jr & wife Lisa of Huntington, one sister, Kay Wells of Georgia, one brother, J.B. Venoy of Ona, WV, 9 grandchildren, Scotty & Kelly Mattison, Cindy Plybon, Kayla Hedrick, Nicholas Day, Frederick E Ray III, Michael Ray, Carrie Compton, & Charles Swann, and 10 great grandchildren.
