Betty Mae Erwin, 81, of Huntington, went to be with Our Heavenly Father on Saturday, December 27, 2014, from Trinity Station, Flatwoods, KY. Betty was born January 7, 1933, a daughter of the late Gaines and Catherine Childers Smith. She was a loving mother and housewife, and a member of the Guyandotte Christian Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Dolvis Harry Erwin, Sr.; a daughter, Susan L. Erwin; and a son Dolvis Harry Erwin, Jr. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Myra Erwin of Wurtland, KY; grandsons and spouses, Greg and Tina Erwin, Shane and Michelle Erwin, Larry Erwin, Jr., and wife Jamie, and Charles and Rachael Erwin; and a granddaughter, Heather Whitt and husband Matt; and eleven great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Wednesday, December 31, 2014, at Chapman’s Mortuary with Jonathan Bailey officiating. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. Friends may visit one hour before services Wednesday at Chapman’s Mortuary.
