Amasetta Sarah Sansom, 102, of South Point, OH, formerly of Huntington, WV, passed away Sunday, May 19, 2013, in Heartland of Riverview, South Point. She was born February 4, 1911 in Wayne County, WV a daughter of the late Ulysses and Valeria Florence Blankenship Sansom. Two brothers, Thurman Sansom and Ersle Lee Sansom, also preceded her in death. She was a retired salesperson for the former McCrory’s Five and Dime Store and was a member of Community of Grace United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be conducted at noon Thursday, May 23, 2013, at Ridgelawn Memorial Park, Abbey of Devotion, Huntington, with Rev. Keith Leap officiating. Burial will follow. Friends may call from 11:30 am to noon Thursday at the cemetery. Chapman’s Mortuary, Huntington, is assisting the family.
