Mary Anne Kent Wasmer Shriver
(March 4, 1931 - May 7, 2013)



Mary Anne Kent Wasmer Shriver 82, of Huntington, WV, mother of Linda Wasmer, passed away peacefully Tuesday May 7, 2013 in the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. A memorial service will be conducted at 12:00 noon Saturday May 11, 2013 at Chapman’s Mortuary, with Pastor Bob Hogsett officiating. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery, Jackson Ohio later in the day. She was born March 4, 1931 in Jackson Ohio, a daughter of the late Michael S. and J. Maude Lamb Kent. Her first husband Loren A. Wasmer and her second husband Wayne E. Shriver, two sisters, Evelyn Louise Kent, and Grace Maxine Valian, and three brothers, William, Wilbur and Wayne Kent also preceded her in death. In addition to her daughter, one sister Kathleen McCorkle survives her. She retired from Gray’s Drug as a retail clerk, was a former member of Highlawn Baptist Church and a lifetime member of Saint Mary’s Hospital Auxiliary. Friends may call one hour prior to service time Saturday at the funeral home.
