Obituary


Dallas Edward Dyer, 72, of Melbourne, FL, formerly of Huntington, widower of Charlotte Ann Dyer, died Saturday, September 10, 2016 in Viera Hospital, Melbourne. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm Sunday, September 18, 2016 at Chapman's Mortuary with Pstor Sam Vance officiating. Burial with military graveside rites conducted by American Legion Post 93, Kenova, will be in Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington. Dallas was born October 1, 1943 in Holden, WV, a son of the late Dallas Downing and Rachel Elizabeth Brammer Dyer. Two daughters also preceded him in death, Patricia Dyer and Christina Dyer. He was a veteran and retired from the US Navy as a Senior Chief, and retired from Cox Communications. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael Dyer and Christine Wood of Melbourne, FL, and Scott and Ruth Dyer of Huntington; three grandchildren, Ryann Dyer and Rhiana Dyer , both of Huntington, and Sabrina Wood of Melbourne; two sisters, Martha Merrill of Pearl River, Louisiana, and Joyce Kinder of Huntington; and two great grandchildren, Bentley Johnston and Reid Easterling, both of Huntington.
