Obituary



Don Perry, 71, of Lavalette, WV, passed away peacefully at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House on Wednesday, September 7, 2016. He retired from the WV State Police Detachment in South Charleston, WV. He is survived by his wife, Betty Perry; two daughters, Sherry (Dale) Osburn and Shelly (Brock) Tucker all of Huntington; two grandchildren, Miranda Osburn and Tyler Tucker both of Huntington; two sisters, Helen Phillips of Murfreesboro, TN., and Betty (Benny) Anderson of Huntington; several nieces, nephews, and a special friend who was like a big brother, Ron Cade. Don was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Alma Perry Walker and nine siblings. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Lavalette Fire Department EMT Staff, Hospice of Huntington and those who have prayed for him during his illness. There will be a private graveside service conducted by Rev. Heron Adkins at Plybon Cemetery, Huntington. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Lavalette Fire Department E.M.T.  "You are no longer in our presence, but will live forever in our hearts."
