Obituary

RICHARD LEE (RICK) MEADOWS
(September 29, 2016)


RICHARD LEE MEADOWS (RICK), 67, of Huntington, died September 29, 2016, after a short illness. Rick was a retired technical engineer. He graduated from Marshall University with a bachelor of science in chemistry in 1972. Rick was also an involved husband, parent and grandparent, always offering love in any way he could to his wife, two sons and five grandchildren. Most importantly, Rick was a Christian and set a wonderful example of what a man should be. Rick was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy Meadows, and his parents, Edward and Geraldine Meadows. He is survived by his sons, Rich Meadows and Ed Meadows; grandson, Isiah Meadows; grandson, Jared Meadows; granddaughter, Klara Meadows; grandson, William Meadows; grandson, Ethan Meadows; sister, Nell Erwin; sister, Frieda McCallister; and sister, Vickie Hogsett. In addition to immediate family, he was loved by many other extended family, friends and former colleagues. Rick will be missed by all who knew him. Visitation will be at Chapman's Mortuary from noon-2 p.m. Tuesday, October 4.
