Obituary



Johnie Hill, 86, of Lavalette, WV passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2016 in the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Graveside services will be conducted 12:00 pm Thursday, September 15, 2016, at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, with John Russell Hill officiating. Entombment will follow in the Good Shepherd Mausoleum. He was born June 4, 1930, in Wharncliffe, WV, a son of the late Bill and Garnet Ferrell Hill. He was a member of the UMW, and Church of God by faith. He was a 32nd degree Mason having been a member of the Wayne Lodge #18 AFandAM, a member of the Shriners of Huntington Beni Kedem, and the Scottish Rite bodies. Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Ann Cole Hill; one daughter and her husband, Deloras and C. Paul Howard of Huntington; one son and his wife, John R. and Lou Ann Hill of Banner, KY; one sister and brother-in-law, Diane and Boyce Dotson of Huntington; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Charles and Opal Hill, and Jack Hill of Delbarton, WV; James and Sharon Hill of Wharncliff, WV; 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
