Obituary



Carolyn Sue Basenback, 66, of Huntington, WV, passed away Sunday, November 19, 2017, at Heritage Center. She was born April 15, 1951 in Huntington a daughter of the late Hubert and Dorsie Flowers Terry. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Rebecca Bias, Edaina Gail Terry, and Dreama Urbanski and four brothers, Gary Terry, Clinton Terry, Kyle Terry, and Wendell Terry. She was a certified nursing assistant at the former Morris Memorial Nursing Home. Survivors include: her husband, Earl Basenback, Jr.; two daughters and a son-in-law, Sabrina Ruth and Junior Ellis and Tonya Marie Hanshaw, all of Huntington; six grandchildren, Genna Workman and Brandon Allen Earl Hanshaw, both of Barboursville, Angel Marie Hanshaw of Culloden, WV, Haylee Dawn Hanshaw of Huntington, Andrew Eugene Hanshaw of Culloden, and Justin Ellis of Huntington; a great grandchild, Xandera Jace Brown of Barboursville; five sisters, Sandy Perkins, Karen Terry, Sharon Terry, and Connie Terry, all of Huntington and Kimberly Terry of California; three brothers, Michael Terry, Jeffrey Terry and Denny Terry; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Friday, November 24, 2017, at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, with Pastor Jerry Matt officiating. Burial will be in Spring Valley Memory Gardens, Huntington. Visitation will be from noon to 2:00 pm Friday at Chapman's Mortuary.
