Obituary

Gary Wayne Vaughn, 65, of Huntington, WV, passed away Sunday, November 26, 2017 in Cabell Huntington Hospital. He was born in South Charleston, WV on September 12, 1952. Gary retired with 35+ years as a police officer in several cities in Kanawha County including Chesapeake, Cedar Grove and Glasgow, WV. He was the only son of the late Carl Leslie Vaughn and Agnes Louise Vaughn. He is survived by his only son and daughter in law, James and Shelly Vaughn and his grandson, Brandon Vaughn, all with whom he made a home. He is also survived by his half-sister, Patricia Morris, his two favorite four-legged companions, Jingles and Nikki, whom loved him as much, if not more than he loved them. He is also survived by his Aunt Violet Casto and several cousins and friends, including Craig and Nancy Casto, and Martha and Greg McDaniel. The family would to thank the staff of the J. Robert Pritchard Dialysis Center, the Wayne Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, and all the doctors and nurses that took care of Gary while he was in MICU at Cabell Huntington Hospital. Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, is in charge of cremation. There will be no service.
