Odalene Smith, 80, of Ft. Gay, WV, passed away Sunday in Three Rivers Medical Center. She worked in housekeeping at J. J. Jordan Nursing Home, and was a member of Old Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church. She was born September 22, 1937, in Webb, WV, she was the daughter of the late Riley and Josie Williamson Davis. Nine siblings also preceded her in death. Survivors include one daughter, Sherry Vanderpool with whom she made her home; and one son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Tonna Vanderpool of Ft. Gay, WV; three grandchildren, Shasta West, Morgan Shane Vanderpool and Natalie Tess Clark; great-grandson, Brandon West. A memorial service is planned at a later date. Chapman's Mortuary is assisting the family.
