Thelma Marie Sturgeon, 92, of Huntington, WV, died Monday November 13, 2017 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Funeral service will be conducted 3:00 PM Thursday November 16, 2017 at Woodmere Memorial Park's Abbey of Remembrance with Dallas Moore officiating. Burial will follow. Thelma was born October 5, 1925 in Mason County, WV a daughter of Walter Russell and Nancy Bateman Shank. She was a retired hairdresser and owned her own Beauty Shop. She was a member of Community of Grace United Methodist Church. She was also preceded in death by her husband Jay Henry Sturgeon and four brothers and one sister. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Toni Milmoe and Brian Sr, of Clifton, VA, three grandsons, Joseph, Andrew M and Timothy Jay Milmoe, and a sister, Ruth Meadows of Carroll, OH. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Visitation will be after 2:30 PM Thursday at the cemetery. Chapman's Mortuary Huntington is assisting the family.
