Obituary



James Everett Bellomy, 74, of Huntington, widower of Barbara Jean Sims Bellomy, passed away Thursday, September 7, 2017, in Cabell Huntington Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Monday, September 11, 2017, at Chapman's Mortuary, with Pastor Larry Abshire officiating. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville with military graveside rites conducted by the WV Veterans Honor Guard Post 16, Huntington. Born June 14, 1943, in Midkiff, WV, he was the son of the late Othel and Bertha Hager Bellomy. One sister, Lois Jean Adkins, and 4 brothers, Willard, Wesley "Boot", Charles and Lyle Bellomy also preceded him in death. He was a US Army veteran, serving during Vietnam, and a recipient of the Purple Heart. He was a truck driver for MC of A Trucking, a member of Garrison Free-Will Baptist Church, Charleston, WV, and a member of VFW Post 9738. Survivors include one sister, Victoria Adkins of Proctorville, OH; Special friend, Robin McLaughlin of Charleston, WV; and several nieces and nephews.
