Nevada "Vada" Long, 85, of Glenwood, WV, passed away Sunday, September 24, 2017, in the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington. She was born August 23, 1932 in Mason County, WV a daughter of the late Charles Duding "Dudan" and Sarah Nicely Davis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Arnold Long; a sister, Lillian Deal; and two brothers, Millard Davis and Nelson "Jude" McCallister. Vada was a member of Faith Gospel Mission, Glenwood, WV. Survivors include: two daughters and sons-in-law, Marilyn Long and Steve Luxton of Sanford, NC and Vickie and Randy Yohe of Huntington; a son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Brenda Long of Glenwood, WV; four grandchildren and their spouses, Jill Long Ross and Kenny Ross, Rebecca Lambert Cyrus and Steven Cyrus, Danny Long, and Erin Scott Short; seven great grandchildren; and special friends, Shirley Mae Chapman and Karen Bowman. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Friday, September 29, 2017, at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, with Rev. Everett Bailey officiating. Burial will be in Greenbottom Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 pm Friday at the funeral home.
