Mary Boland Elder, daughter of Samuel and Hettie Boland, passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2017. She was a graduate of St. Mary's School of Nursing with the class of 1949, a Certified Occupational Health Nurse with a MS degree from Marshall University. She retired from the former INCO Alloys, International. She was preceded in death by her father and mother; her husband, James B. Elder; her son, James Stephen Elder; and a beloved brother, John O. Boland. She is survived by her daughter, Vicky Dorworth (David); a wonderful grandson, Tyler Dorworth; a very special nephew, Tom Sims; and special friends, June Craft Black and Willis Carter. There will be no visitation and private funeral with burial will be at the Greenbrier Cemetery, Hinton, WV. Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, is assisting the family.
