Obituary



Sherry Frances Shelton, 70, of Huntington, WV, was called to Heaven Friday, September 1, 2017. She was born April 7, 1947 in Huntington. She was a daughter to the late Robert Harold and Geraldine Sites Kinder. Her husband, Howard Eugene Shelton, also preceded her in death. Sherry touched many lives by providing childcare services for over 10 years, and was a member of River Cities Community Church. She is survived by her daughter, Tina (Tom) Coleman of Troy, VA; two sons, Marty (Leigh) Shelton of Milton and Bob (Melinda) Shelton of Huntington; three sisters, Linda (Harold) Golden of Ft. Myers, FL, Louanna (Buster) Ortiz of Zanesville, OH and Vickie (Jesse) Escamilla of Hammond, IN; seven grandchildren, Jake Shelton, Troy Coleman, Megan Shelton, Brooke Coleman, Michael Shelton, Kameron Barnes, and Haeven Chapman; and several nieces and nephews. Sherry will be greatly missed for her warm, compassionate heart, and her ability to make everyone smile. A memorial service will be conducted 3:00 pm Saturday, September 16, 2017, at River Cities Community Church with Pastor Larry Greene officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 3:00 pm Saturday at the church.
