Bertie Marie Bowen, 81, of Huntington, WV, passed away Monday, June 2, 2014, at her residence. She was born June 12, 1932 in Cabell County, WV a daughter of the late Clyde Campbell, Sr. and Martha Ellen Wilkerson Campbell. Her sister, Dora Mae Dingess and a brother, Clyde Campbell, Jr., also preceded her in death. She was a retired window trimmer for the former McCrory's. Survivors include: her husband, Jimmie Bowen; a daughter and son-in-law, Sabrina and Norman Martin of Huntington; a son and his girlfriend, Gregory Thomas Bowen and April Needham, of Huntington; four grandchildren, Derek Martin, Vanessa Martin, Amber Marie Bowen, and Bryant Reese Bowen, all of Huntington; eight great grandchildren; and a brother, Donald Campbell, of Huntington. Graveside services will be conducted noon Thursday at White Chapel Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, with Pastor Norman Stickler officiating. Entombment will follow. Visitation will be from 11:30am to noon Thursday in White Chapel Mausoleum. Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, is assisting the family.
