Dorothy Terry Volk, 85, of Huntington, WV, passed away Thursday, June 19, 2014, in Chateau Grove Senior Living. She was born October 13, 1928 in Yazoo City, MS a daughter of the late Clayton Aubrey and Mary Crawford Terry. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Frank M. Volk, whom she married on June 14, 1950; a daughter, Martha Volk Floyd; two sisters, Elizabeth Tinnin and Medora Poore; and two brothers, James Terry and Aubrey Terry. She was a member of Johnson Memorial United Methodist Church and was a teacher for 35 years in Cabell County. She dearly loved children and loved going to the beach with her family every year. Survivors include: a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Volk Price and Charles Price of Huntington; a son-in-law, Jon Floyd of Huntington; and two grandchildren, Frank Floyd and Mattie Floyd. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm Saturday, June 21, 2014, at Chapman�s Mortuary, Huntington, with Rev. John W. Lipphardt officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Huntington. Visitation will be from noon until 1:00 PM Saturday at Chapman's Mortuary.
