Billy Joe Midkiff, 71, of Huntington, husband of Sharon Ross Midkiff, passed away Wednesday June 11, 2014, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Monday, June 16, 2014 at Chapman's Mortuary, with Pastor Trent Eastman officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery, Huntington. He was born February 21, 1943, in Huntington, WV, a son of the late Billy and Marjorie Sue Barton Midkiff. He was a retired mechanical engineer from INCO with 36 years service. Billy earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Marshall University. In addition to his wife, survivors include his five children, Marc Midkiff and wife Angela, of Hillard, OH, Mike Midkiff of Huntington, Raynell Hatfield and husband, Chad, of Huntington, Leslie Curry and husband, Jeff, of Lavalette, and Benjamin Midkiff of Huntington; and 12 grandchildren.
