Susanna Starr Thomas Moore, 62, of Huntington, WV, died Friday, June 27, 2014, in the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Funeral service will be conducted noon Monday, June 30, 2014, at Chapman’s Mortuary, Huntington, with Thomas King officiating. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. Susanna was born October 2, 1951 in Huntington, WV a daughter of the late Hampton E Thomas and Barbara J. Watson Thomas Jones. She was an avid bowler, loved her animals and raised Collies for 15 years. She also represented WV in 1965 in the Miss Teen Beauty Pageant and was a former insurance agent for AFLAC. Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Emory Gene Moore; one daughter, Rebecca S Moore of Barboursville; one son, Emory Gene Moore II of Huntington; one sister, Patricia J. Huffman and brother-in-law, Wandel of Barboursville; one grandson, Michael Thomas Sowards; four granddaughters, Christina and Samantha Belt and Destine and Leighann Nicole Chapman; three great-grandsons, and a niece Alyson Huffman. Friends may call at Chapman’s Mortuary from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Sunday, June 29, 2014.
