Robert Charles Terry
(December 26, 1959 - June 29, 2014)


Robert C. Terry, age 54, took his heavenly flight while surrounded by his family on Sunday, June 29, 2014 at his parents’ home. Bobby was born December 26, 1959 a son of the late Dorothy L. Sydenstricker Terry and Alex H. Terry of Huntington. Bobby was a member of Local Carpenters Union 302. He leaves behind a stepdaughter, Ann Doerr, a son, Alex Terry, a daughter, Angie Terry, a son, Aaron Terry, and an ex-wife, Susan E. Fish Terry, all of Barboursville, WV. He is also survived by: seven siblings, the Rev. Thomas H. Terry of Barboursville, Richard Terry of Huntington, Shirley Blake of Barboursville, Dottie Richards of Holiday, FL, Hartzel Ray (Gibb) Terry of Huntington and Weeki Wachee, FL, Rev. John Terry of Branford, FL, and a beloved twin sister, Roberta C. Richards of New Port Richey, FL; and a host of brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at the Joan C. Edwards Cancer Center at Cabell Huntington Hospital and Hospice of Huntington for their great care; a special thanks to soloist and niece, Carol Turley; and a special thanks to Gethsemane United Baptist fellowship hall in Barboursville. Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 am Wednesday, July 2, 2014, at Susie Chapel Cemetery, Route 10, Huntington, with Pastor Danny Dailey officiating. Chapman’s Mortuary, Huntington, is assisting the family. A celebration of his life will be held after the service at the Gethsemane United Baptist Fellowship Hall in Barboursville hosted by the Ladies Auxiliary of Gethsemane United Baptist Church. His children would like to extend an invitation to all Bobby’s friends, family and loved ones.
