John "Jace" Charles Krieger went to be with his Lord on April 12, 2018 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House following a yearlong courageous battle with cancer. There will be no visitation, and a private family graveside service will be held at Woodmere Memorial Park, with a good family friend officiating. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Jace was born in Huntington, WV on May 2, 1965. He was the first child and only son of Althea Ann Krieger and John R. Krieger, Jr. He married his best friend, Julie Ann Ferrell Krieger March 21, 1996 in Ashland, KY. After working at Logan Corporation in the sales and transportation department in Huntington, WV, he worked for Superior Coil Services in Alabama, and enjoyed the luxury of working at home in Huntington every day. Jace loved long walks in the woods with his wife, and anything to do with the outdoors. He especially loved spending time with his two granddaughters and their mom Kelsey. He was so proud of his son Alex and the musician and the young man he is becoming. He will always put family first just like his father did. Jace is lovingly remembered by his wife, Julie Ann Ferrell Krieger, two sons Brice Krieger and Alex Krieger, one daughter Kelsey Ferrell and two granddaughters, Ava and Elynor, and one grandson Beckett. Honorary pallbearers will be Alex Krieger, Rick Logan, Skip Logan, Jack Reynolds, Scott Ross and Ernie Brumfield. Chapman's Mortuary.
