David Lewis Upton, 60, of Huntington, WV, died on April 18, 2018. He was born on October 1, 1957 and raised on a farm in Marie, WV, the youngest of Jack and Pauline Upton's twelve children. His five older sisters and six older brothers will miss him dearly. He was an affectionate Dad to Aaron, Darby, and Stuart, and a beloved Fa Dave to his five grandchildren, Abby, Emma, Gretchen, Ian, and Caleb. He would do anything for his children and grandchildren, and we often put that to the test. He was ever resilient, soft-spoken, and steady as a rock. He valued working with his hands and his mind. His sense of humor and gentle nature made him so easy to be with, whether climbing a mountain or sitting around a table. The void he leaves behind is immeasurable. A memorial service will be held at the 4H Camp in Barboursville on Thursday, April 26th from 6pm to 8pm.
